Position Overview:

As a Mountain Bike and Electric Mountain Bike Assembler/Mechanic at Karbon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our bikes. Your responsibilities will include assembling, tuning, and maintaining both traditional / analog / acoustic mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes to meet our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bike Assembly: Assemble and build mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes to the highest quality standards, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every step of the process.
  2. Demo Fleet Maintenance: Conduct thorough mechanical inspections to maintain and tune the demo fleet.
  3. Tuning and Adjustment: Perform precise tuning and adjustment of drivetrains, brakes, suspension systems, and other components to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Event Support: Act as an events mechanic at bike festivals and events, providing on-site support for riders and showcasing Karbon’s products. This may involve travel to various locations.
  5. Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality control checks on assembled bikes to ensure they meet Karbon’s high standards for performance, safety, and aesthetics.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspections, and any necessary repairs or adjustments.
  7. Racing Team Support: Collaborate with the factory racing team to provide technical support, ensuring bikes are race-ready and optimized for peak performance.
  8. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product advancements to enhance expertise and contribute to the improvement of our products.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in bike assembly and maintenance, with a focus on mountain bikes and electric bikes preferred.
  2. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the latest trends in bike components and systems.
  3. Knowledge of electric bike systems, including motors, batteries, and electronic controls.
  4. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  5. Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and work independently.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  7. Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
